At only 18 years old, Fabian is the youngest new rookie. He grew up doing everything with his big brother Derek, so when Derek became a CO at Western, Fabian decided to follow in his footsteps. Fresh out of high school and with no real-world experience, Fabian is timid and easily overwhelmed, totally opposite to his confident and disciplined older brother. He’s the first to admit that he’s still “just a kid,” and wonders how anyone will take him seriously.

Fabian still lives with his parents at home, and is stepping out of his comfort zone for the first time by going to work for NMCD. As if having to live up to his older brother’s example wasn’t enough for Fabian, both his father and step-mother work at the prison, so he has to uphold the family name. As a CO, he struggles to establish his authority and get the inmates to respect him. Fabian’s passion is photography, but he wants to try and make this career work to protect his community and make his family proud.
