Robbie Carson from Hero Ink on A&E

Robbie

When Robbie was younger, there were two things he was sure of: he wanted to become a tattoo artist and he wanted to serve his country. After graduating high school, Robbie enlisted into the marines while he began his tattoo apprenticeship. He would tattoo on the side, and when he left the military, he opened his own shop in Houston at the same time that he began his firefighter training. Sadly, his shop flooded during Hurricane Harvey and he had to close his doors. But, on the flip side, he found BK and Prison Break Tattoos.

A goofy and upbeat guy, Robbie loves being a firefighter and protecting his city of Houston and is proud to be branded as a firefighting tattooer. He doesn’t call his work his tattoos, but his masterpieces – he can tattoo any style from black and grey to traditional but loves to do photorealism.

As someone who has served in the military, and still works as a firefighter, Robbie can relate to his hero clientele and leave them with a perfect tattoo and an experience they’ll never forget (and if they are a police officer, there is sure to be banter!). He understands how these people put their lives on the line to help others and he is passionate about sharing stories to come together with his community.
